If you are aged over 40 or alway look at the computer screen nearly 15 hours a day , I am sure you will very tired to look at some web pages compare to ten years before.

Not just tired , but sometimes also affect our eyesight. Nowadays , monitor have higher and higher resolutions, for examples , a 13in MacBook Pro have 1680 x 1050 resolutions, in order to display more windows in the finder.

But this design make text on some of the web page now really become difficult to read. In order to overcome this, Apple have built in Safari Reading mode in Safari.

The benefits of using Safari Reading mode

It will use a simple layout to display the essential text and photos, and also display the articles without annoying ads. Videos and other distractions.

You can set the reading mode in Safari 11 to display automatically, or you can use Shift-Command-R to call the reader mode.

Manage your Reader websites

If you want to see what websites you’ve set for Reader, or you want to adjust your settings, here’s how.

1. Go to Safari > Preferences.

2. In the Preferences window, click on the Websites icon at the top.

3. Click on Reader in the left column.

You can set the reader mode to display on different webpages.
