How do you feel Digital Photograph is how you perceive image from the world

I work for a camera equipment company and most of my time is listen to customer opinion and help them to decide which camera or equipment. should fit for their use.

Sometimes I find customer opinion is totally different from what I expect.

As one of the insider in the industry, I try to evaluate every new cameras and lens technically without any bias, but I find that even though a customer is professional grade and using camera equipment for a longtime, when they need to chose a new camera or lens, they will affect by a lot of noise.

Subjective decision

I remember when 20 years ago, the first DSLR design for normal people from Nikon released, people are all excited since the camera shoot and record all the image digitally.

Besides also a lot of new knowledge, all known as digital photography had driven users face the new photography era.

Actually the design of digital camera and even a lens change dramatically these years. New camera from a single brand come out every six months. Each brand trend to add more and more features on the new products and competition between similar products is keen.

I remember when I first enter the industry, it is still rather old buy and sell style. Sales rely heavily on local camera shop and each company need to do print advertisements to ensure the market information can go to the customer.

One interesting point is , not many customers will ask for product support , because they assume that the company cannot information they needed , I think this is because on the age of internet, receiving information from different people is totally different from others.

The dramatic change of product price also make.customer have different perception of digital camera.

For example, a new model will be price for 2000 USD…but just several months later, the price will fall to 1600USD and then 1300USD,although recently the camera company control the product price, but
